About the DAAFF Screener Program
The Dallas Asian American Film Festival (DAAFF) is hosting its inaugural festival this year, hosted by the Dallas Asian American Art Collective, and we need your help! We’re looking for Texas-based volunteers passionate about Asian American short films and storytelling in general to serve as screeners and help us curate our program. Your voice helps us spotlight the stories that deserve to be seen.
What to Expect
Screeners watch and review short films, providing ratings and feedback that directly influence our final selections. As a screener, you’ll watch and rate films in two categories: live action and animated/experimental. Expect 10–20 hours of short films throughout June, with written ratings and reviews submitted for each film (exact hours depend on total submissions received).
Eligibility: The role is fully remote, and open to anyone in the Dallas/DFW-based area, no film background is required.
Perks: In return, you’ll receive early RSVP access to the festival and a connection to a vibrant community of Dallas Asian American creatives!
Deadline: Applications are open until Friday, May 8th at 11:59 PM. You will be notified by May 11th.
